Chapter one: The letter from somebody and memories
Somewhere in England, in a room full of millions of books, is a young boy about the age of 11 lying on top of the bed in his room, finishing an extremely large book. Looking at the room, you would see that most of the books were fantasy, all about magic and things that sadly can't be real in this small world. All that boy can do is dream, for he wishes with his whole tiny heart, that magic could be real, just like in all those wonderful stories about wizards, goblins, mermaids, witches, and so much more. But of course, none of those things can be real. The boy knows the reality of this world and knows that no matter how hard he tries to make magic happen, it would never ever happen. Now this boy doesn't believe in magic anymore and only has that small faint ray of hope in his tiny, tiny heart that it could someday it happen. You might be wondering who this boy is. The boy's name was-
"Bobby! I have to leave for a meeting! I'll be back at 10:00."  A women's voice rang out through the house. The boy, Bobby, didn't look up from the book and his bright baby blue eyes continued to read the tiny words on the page he was on. He paused for a moment, listening for the noise of a door bring opened and closed. His mother has left him, again, as usual.  Every night Bobby's mother had to go to an important meeting and she would never tell him about it. Whenever Bobby tried to question her, she would immediately try to change the subject. 'She's hiding something from me and soon I'll find out just what it is' Bobby would tell himself every day. Tonight was the night. Bobby silently got out of his bed, and tip toed towards his mother's office. He was in front of the door, wondering what to do. The door was always locked, but he got a sudden idea which might just work. Bobby fingers went through his long blond bangs and pulled out a bobby pin. Putting the bobby pin into the lock hole, he carefully began to twist it many times. It didn't work. Bobby took the bobby pin out and put it back in his hair. Suddenly there was a click and the door opened.  Grinning, he went inside the room, not even wondering how the door was unlocked.
The room was cold and felt like there hasn't been anyone inside for months.
'How strange… She has been here just minutes ago.' Bobby thought with a frown on his face. He looked around the room. This is the first time he has been in his mother's office. It exactly wasn't an office though. In the middle of the great room was a huge black cauldron. There were a mushy green liquid that seemed to have a faint glow in the cauldron. On the walls there were many shelves that had bottles. It was dark in the room, so Bobby couldn't really see what was in the bottles. He went to the windows and pulled back the thick red curtains, light poured into the room, making it much brighter. Deciding it was safe, Bobby opened the window so that fresh air could go inside. Smiling slightly, he turned around and faced the shelves. It was terrible. In the bottled were eyes, frog legs, insects, and many things that Bobby didn't know. Suddenly there was a noise behind him and he quickly turned around, fearing that it's his mother. But, it wasn't. It was a huge raven black owl. A scream rang through the night. Bobby fell down to the dusty floor and tried to back away from the huge bird. His back hit the wall and couldn't move away as the owl flew towards him. The owl landed neatly on his knee and dropped something in Bobby's lap.
"What is this?" Bobby asked the owl, completely forgetting that there was an actual owl on his knee, clicking its beak in satisfaction. He picked the thing and realized that it was a letter. A letter addressed to him? Bobby has never got a letter in his life. He never been outside because his mother said that the outside world was too big for him and he was so tiny and fragile. Because of that, Bobby never had any friends. But, someone does know about him, know that Bobby exists. He shakily opened the letter, scared. The letter was written in green ink. He felt the weight of the owl on his knee lift and disappear. Looking up, Bobby saw that the owl left and decided to read the letter anyway.

He didn't understand what this letter meant, but then it clicked. Everything fitted now. The Bottles of strange stuff, the cauldron, the owl, and the meetings that mother won't tell Bobby about. She was a witch and he was a wizard. It made perfect since! Bobby wasn't mad, was he? He heard the noise of a door being unlocked. He silently cursed and closed the window. Bobby scurried out of the room and quickly went back to his room, getting on his bed, also grabbing the heavy book he was reading earlier.
His Mother opened the door to Bobby's room and peered in; making sure that he was safe, inside like always.
"Bobby, I'm home! You want anything for dinner dear?" Bobby's mother asked with a tired smile. Bobby looked up from the book and grinned weakly,
"No thanks mum, I'm a bit tired."
In reality, he wasn't one bit tired at all.  Bobby was wide awake and afraid. What would his mother say? She always said to not believe in magic and fantasy. She had lied to him all those years and kept him hidden from the 'big outside world that's too big for you!' Bobby wanted to tell her about the letter, but what if she won't let him go to this Hogwarts School? He must tell her about it sooner or later. Closing his book, he decided that tomorrow would be the day he would tell her. He got out of the bed and went to his mirror. In the reflection was a very pale boy who was very small and looked as though a wind could carry him away. Soft blond hair went all the way to his shoulders and his bangs were being held by a bobby pin so that it wouldn't get into his eyes. Bright baby blue eyes were staring back at him, full of determination. The boy was dressed in light blue striped pajamas that were a bit too big for him which made him look even smaller than he already was.
"I'm not weak, am I?"

"Mommy, I want to go outside!" A much smaller Bobby told his mother, holding on to the robes she was wearing. Bobby and his mother were both in the kitchen, a nice warm place in the house that was always welcome to anybody. Mrs. White frowned a little before answering, 'Well, I guess you could go to the park." She muttered softly, putting down the plate she was drying. Bobby's eyes immediately brightened and a look of pure happiness was on his face. He squealed and ran to his room, grabbing his fur jacket. Leaving the house, he gave his mother a quick hug and left. There was white fluffy snow everywhere. It was a wonderful winter day, perfect for a snowball fight. As Bobby walked towards the park, he could hear the screaming of little kids playing and… foot steps behind him? He stopped walking and slowly turned around. In front of Bobby was a man dressed in a black cloak that also covered his face. Suddenly there was a bright light and Bobby knew no more. When Bobby woke up, he realized that his arms and legs were tied. He looked up and saw the same man. The man shoulders were shaking and laughter echoed around the dark room. Bobby didn't understand what was going on at all, but he knew that the situation was bad, really bad. The man raised something in the air and made a slashing movement. Once again, there was a bright light, green, but this time all he felt was incredible pain. Bobby's scream rang out through the room and laughter grew louder. 'Make this pain stop! Somebody…!' He kept saying to himself. It was hours later when someone came to save him. The door of the room suddenly burst opened and many people ran inside. There were many screaming and flashes of lights. Bobby could barely see what was happening, he could barely stay conscious at all.
"Bobby, Bobby, are you okay!? Please speak to me! Bobby!"
Somebody was shaking him. But, darkness was taking over and soon there was nothing.

Bobby woke up, startled. He had fallen asleep and his hand was still clutching on to the letter tightly. Looking around in his room, he saw that the door was slightly opened and the smell of pancakes drifted into the room. Groaning slightly, Bobby got out of bed and made his way to the kitchen where the pancakes awaits for him. Entering the gloomy kitchen, he saw his mother leaning against the counter, reading the newspaper with a slight frown on her face. Bobby has decided to make his move.
"Mother, I have gotten a letter yesterday." He said sitting at the table, grabbing a plate of pancaked. Mrs. White froze and quickly looked up at Bobby, eyes wide with shock and fear.
"What do you mean?" She whispered quietly, her grip tightening on the newspaper. Before speaking, Bobby bit a few pieces of the pancake and said, "When you left, I got a letter from and owl." Now her knuckles were white and her fingers were tearing through the newspaper, but she did not notice.
"I knew this day would come someday." Mrs. White whispered hoarsely, setting the newspaper down onto the counter. Bobby waited for her to speak, a little bit nervous of what she'll say.
"Yes Bobby, you are a wizard. But, you are so frail and small that I thought it would be too much for you. I didn't want you to go to the outside of this world; I didn't want you to go to our world. Because you were captured by him, I thought you would be much safer if I kept you here. Bobby, if you really want to go, I guess you could go to Hogwarts." Bobby couldn't believe it! He could go to outside, to Hogwarts! His mother could see the excitement on his face and smiled sadly. Even though Mrs. White really didn't want him to go, she knew it was time. Mrs. White gave Bobby a tight hug and excused herself so that she could hide her tears that were beginning to form.
***
Where do they get the items? You may think, 'How in the world do they buy a wand, a bunch of spell books, and a cauldron in London?' Well, it's simple really. They have to-
"We have to go to Diagon Alley!" Mrs. White said cheerfully, putting the dirty dishes away in the sink. Bobby frowned. He has never heard of Diagon Alley, but then he has only been outside once in his life. His mother continued to talk about the list of items to buy. Bobby only listened to half of what she was saying; this so many things were on his mind.
"We actually live pretty close to the Leaky Cauldron, so we can go there by foot, but then I'm worried about you going out-." Mrs. White was saying frantically, but Bobby cut her off.
"You said I could go outside mum! I want to go outside." He said sharply with a small glare. His mother flinched and then decided not to argue. About an hour later the two decided to head to the Leaky Cauldron. They stood in front of the door, Mrs. White holding his hand tightly, wondering what will happen. Bobby reached for the doorknob and opened the door.  Bright light met them and greeted them warmly. It was almost the end of summer and it was beginning to get cooler. His mother's grip tightened on Bobby's hand and began to drag him out into the streets. There were many people, mainly business men in dark suits going to work since it was a little early this morning. Some people gave Bobby weird looks because of how pale and tiny he was. Soon Bobby and his mother stood in front of a dark cavern, which he almost missed. None of the people, muggles his mother explained, noticed it at all. There was a sign that read 'The Leaky Cauldron'. Bobby looked at his mother and saw that she was smiling.
"It has been so long since I have been here."

Cool! I like it when people who actually know what they're talking about write fanfictions. xD
